Singular luminaire design developed for the stairwell
Year: 2014/2015
Location: Madrid
Client: BDU architects and S. José consultancy
Description: the architectonic intervention in the building has two clearly differentiated facets which require different lighting approaches. The first one is the restoration of the principal floor, as well as the imperial stairs that are the main access to it. We focused our work in the update of the facilities and the restoring of the existing wall paintings and furniture. In this case our intervention consisted in the upgrade of the current lamps and the addition of some specific equipment meant to highlight certain art pieces.
In the rest of the building, lighting is purely functional. The development of a singular luminaire design for the stairwell, stands out among the whole lighting design project
