Olmeda Roman Villa

Design and intallation of the interior and exterior lighting

Year: 2009

Location: Palencia

Client: Palencia provincial Council

Description: Paredes Pedrosa’s project covered 4400 square meters occupied by one of the most remarkable archeological sites of the late roman period in Spain with a modern, diaphanous and functional achitecture. The skin of the building provides diffused light during most of the day, so the lighting design was conceived as a discreet assistance that guides us through the building and makes visitors stop in the most significant pieces, highlighting them but not interfering with the airy, exceptional architecture.
